Petro Guardian Electrical is insured and holds electrical licenses in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The team brings decades of experience, and along with the Petro Guardian, LLC. team, can offer full turnkey installation capabilities to our clients.
We are currently hiring for the position of Journeyman Lineman to work in the Oil Fields of West Texas, office located in Midland, Texas. This is a rewarding opportunity for self-motivated individuals who can perform with minimal supervision. The Journeyman Lineman will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting overhead Distribution Electric Facilities per customer request and accepted customer specifications to include working in a safe and professional manner.
Job Requirements for Journeyman Lineman:
- Valid Class A CDL (or the ability to obtain) for the State of Texas
- TDLR Journeyman License – (preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Graduation from Accredited Lineman School a plus
- Successfully pass background and drug screen testing
- Ability to travel and work in various locations including out of state if necessary
Essential Functions for Journeyman Lineman:
- Work safely in a Team Environment
- Operate Overhead Line Equipment, e.g., Bucket Truck, Boom Truck
- Ability to perform rigorous physical labor in all types of weather, hot/cold
- Capable of working at heights
- Maintain Company Vehicle, equipment and tools per Company Standards
- Must be able to climb wood poles
- Understands grounding procedures
- Proper knowledge of required PPE, inspection, care and use
- Trained and knowledgeable in the install and construction of Overhead Power Line Facilities with Journeyman Lineman experience

Under the direction of the Foreman, the Apprentice Lineman must safely install, troubleshoot, repair and remove overhead/underground distribution power lines within the scope of his/her training. The Apprentice Lineman must safely operate various equipment including but not limited to, bucket trucks, digger derrick, pickup trucks, excavation and track equipment.
Job Requirements for Apprentice Lineman:
